I love my kids. I really do, I love that they love talking to me. ALL. DAY. LONG. I love that they have great speech and language skills. I do not take it for granted. But I cannot convince my kids that not every sentence has to start with “Mom” and I HAVE to say “What?” or they just keep saying “Mom! Mom! MOOOOOOOM!” Even if we are already having a conversation or if we are the only ones in the room, or in the house or in the car! WHY???? How can I convince them to just talk to me? Or that me making eye contact with them after they say “mom” is enough for them to keep talking? I shouldn’t have to say “What?” every sentence!! I’m not sure why this irritates me so much, but it drives me up the wall!!! I know I can’t be the only one getting “Mom’ed” like crazy. Come on, parents, spill it, do your kids do this too? Does it get on your nerves? How do you deal with it?
